NOTICE

This is to inform all concerned candidates that the following information is hereby notified in connection with Advertisement No. 03/2026-27 dated 25.08.2026:

 1. Extension of last date for submission of applications

It is further informed that, with reference to Advertisement No. IIT(BHU)/ADM/ NFRC/DR (03/2026-27) dated 25.08.2026, the last date for submission of applications through the SAMARTH Portal for various Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ positions under different cadres at IIT (BHU), Varanasi has been extended up to 01.10.2026 (Thursday) till 05:00 PM and submission of hard copy of the application till 08.10.2026 till 05:00 PM.

2.    Age relaxation for internal candidates 

As per OM No. IIT(BHU)/ADM/118/RR/Gen/2025-26/2394 dated 24.03.2026, age relaxation shall be admissible to the internal candidates in accordance with the provisions of the said Office Memorandum, as reproduced below: 

“Relaxation of the upper age limit up to 55 years for the internal candidates working in the Institute, including contractual employees, subject to working a minimum of 5 years of service in the Institute.”

 

      3.    Addition of “Others” Category under PWD Section 

An “Others” category has been added under the PWD section on the SAMARTH Portal for Advertisement No. 03/2026-27 for candidates with disabilities who are not covered under the existing listed categories. The affected candidates may log in to the SAMARTH Portal and update their application accordingly from 22.09.2026 to 01.10.2026. No request in this regard shall be entertained after 01.10.2026. 

All concerned candidates are advised to take note of the above information and act accordingly.
